Discord is a voice & messaging platform designed for video game communities. Iterating on learnings from the Facebook Messenger integration we focused on passive sharing opportunities.

From our console gaming integrations we know that a large percentage of gamers play with music in the background. This integration displays a user’s music status in their friends list. Spotify Free users can listen to the song on Spotify, and Premium users can even listen along with their friend’s stream by syncing playback on both Spotify clients. Leveraging Discords community nature, users can even invite a channel to listen to their stream.
